Our vineyard
Ideally located in the area of Saint Emilion, Château Beaurang benefits from the geological diversity and oceanic microclimate of the region that make up the ideal conditions for nutrition and ripening of the grapes.
Our terroir is a place of biodiversity where our know-how and our wonderful vineyards combine. The richness we find in the different grape varieties present on our properties, offers us a mosaic of choice at the time of the blending of our wines, thus bringing richness and aromas.
Our winery
In appellation Saint-Emilion
Château Beaurang is surrounded by our vineyard in Saint-Emilion and it is on this 8ha30 that Claude, true pillar of our 3rd generation, walks since his youngest age. It was by seeing the vines grow, and growing with them, that he learned to love them, cherish them and accompany them in their evolution. To make a good wine, the essential is to have good fruit. Thanks to this learning and transmitted passion we all work together today at Château Beaurang and collectively try to obtain the best of our vines by having reasonable and reasoned cultural practices.
Our vineyard in appellation Saint Emilion, is therefore only a few meters from our cellar. During the harvests, this is a huge advantage. Indeed, between the time when the grapes are still on the vine and the time when we put them in the vat, it is essential to not let the berries oxidize and deteriorate. We therefore take less than 45 minutes between the crop and its entry in the cellar. Without the proximity of the winery and the plot, this promising feat of high quality wine would not be possible.
In appellation Bordeaux
Our second vineyard is located on 2 municipalities a few kilometers from Saint-Emilion and is mainly Cabernet Franc. Our rosé, Château des Jouvencelles is obtained from a « bleeding » of a vat of cabernet-franc and then fermented at low temperature. It is in Bordeaux appellation.
