The particularity of the winemaking lies in its diversity, whether it be winemaker, oenologist or wine merchant. We made the decision to share the tasks within our family.
This highly masculine profession did not frighten the women of our family, that's why as soon as she bought Château Beaurang with her husband, Marie Puyol, our first generation, embarked for the crazy adventure of this beautiful profession.

Thanks to our different personalities and our understanding we were able to stand out and make our high quality Saint-Émilion wines.

Claude and Marie-Christine Puyol

Marie-Christine and Claude Puyol are the third generation of the PUYOL family at Château Beaurang.
Claude grew up in the vineyard at Beaurang and learned the profession with his grandfather and his father while Marie-Christine’s father was winemaker in a prestigious Château of the appellation Saint-Emilion.
They soon founded their family with their two daughters Cécile and Delphine and succeeded José and Odette PUYOL in 1983.
Their profession? Artisan winemakers! Love of the earth, respect for nature and humility in the face towards the weather are the hallmarks of their philosophy.
In 2008, they welcomed their youngest daughter Delphine to work with them.

Delphine Puyol

Raised in the heart of the Saint-Émilion vineyard, Delphine joined the Château Beaurang team in 2008 after studying Psychology. She completed her empirical knowledge with a Diploma of Applied Marketing in Wines and Spirits. She has also taken training to deepen her tasting skills at the Bordeaux Oenology Faculty and participates regularly in professional tastings. She handles communication and marketing of the wines of the winery through the daily tours and wine tasting but you can also see her in the cellar during the wine makings while the intense period of the harvests.

Bagheera Puyol

First to welcome you during your visit to the Château Beaurang, Bagheera is also our «zero rodent insurance» in our cellars! But be careful she doesn’t have a panther name by chance, she only likes the hugs of her owners!

Marc Quertinier

Marc Quertinier has been a consultant oenologist at Château Beaurang for several years. He knows, especially during the blendings, how to give good advice to produce wines faithful to the terroir of Château Beaurang and to the family which produces it.

Stéphane Paul

Stéphane has been working at Château Beaurang since 1997! A great viticulture professional, he is committed to working in the vineyard and in the cellar to get the best out of the grapes harvested at maturity. A fine taster, his opinion is essential during the blendings and the ageing of the wines.
